CMO Manager Animal Health Global Supply
The Position
You will steer and manage as virtual production site manager a portfolio of external Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) for Animal Health to ensure successful industrialization/launch, supply robustness and cost management for assigned product portfolio.
This position is located in Ingelheim; however, the area of responsibility covers CMOs globally (EU, Americas and Asia).
This position is limited for 3 years.
Tasks & responsibilities
- You will lead and coordinate a matrix team across key functional groups and provide direction. You manage divers and conflicting interests within a very complex environment regarding product portfolio and interfaces.
- In addition, you will liaise with Business Partners to translate business requirements into an optimal supply strategy and set up with the involvement of all relevant functions.
- With your practical experience and insight into how manufacturing sites operate, you will oversee a robust supply of marketed products from the CMO cluster and ensure the flawless launch of newly developed, innovative products in collaboration with R&D.
- You will evaluate external partnerships based on performance indicators / monitoring tools and the feedback received to foster a culture of continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Master's degree or diploma in Pharmaceutics or Chemistry, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
- Several years of professional experience within the supply chain in pharmaceutical industrial operations & manufacturing of finished products, including proven ability to manage complex and crisis situations
- Basic knowledge about the global CMO market, market developments, business relationship, B2B and key account management
- Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with internal functions (Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Legal etc.) as well as external CMOs up to senior management
- Good financial/business acumen with high sense of personal accountability and integrity
- Strong international/intercultural communication and negotiations skills; willingness to travel
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, German language skills beneficial
