Process Manager - Financial Accounting

The Position

To further optimize the financial processes of Boehringer Ingelheim and ensure seamless integration between various process areas, we are looking for an experienced Process Manager with a focus on process interfaces in the area of Financial Accounting. Our team Process- and Program Management - Financial Accounting is responsible for the governance of Boehringer Ingelheim’s global standard processes in the areas of General Ledger Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Asset Accounting and the Month-End & Year-End Closing Process.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As Process Manager in our team, you will drive the development, standardization, and optimization of global Financial Accounting processes, with a strong focus on process and system interfaces to subsidiary ledgers, payroll, treasury, taxes and internal accounting.
  • With your end-to-end process experience you will collaborate closely with colleagues from other process areas to ensure seamless integration, communication and data exchange between processes.
  • As key point of contact for General Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Asset Accounting and Closing, you will cooperate with Finance & Controlling and Shared Service Center colleagues to operationalize local requirements, corporate guidelines and policies.
  • You will drive the identification and implementation of modern technologies, such as AI-driven solutions, to automate routine processes and enhance data quality.
  • You will manage international projects from the preparation to the implementation and follow-up of project milestones and complex workshops.
  • Documenting processes and monitoring process compliance will also among your responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Business administration bachelor/master’s degree with focus on Financial Accounting as well as sound knowledge in Accounting and Finance processes 
  • Several years of experience in Finance e.g. General Accounting, External Group Reporting, Controlling, Auditing or SAP consultancy
  • Profound SAP knowledge (S4 Hana) with focus on SAP FI module and experience in the areas of Financial Accounting (General Accounting, Asset Accounting, Intercompany Accounting) 
  • Experience in project management, working with international project teams as well as in the facilitation of workshops
  • Structured, result-oriented and proactive working style with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach in English required. German/ additional language skills would be an asset to communicate clearly and effectively
