Post Doc - Liquid Development
The Position
Within the department Pharmaceutical Development, the team Liquid Development at the Biberach site is looking for a Post Doc at the earliest possible date. If you are inspired by working in a highly motivated team on scientific challenges in the area of parenteral drug delivery such as subcutaneously, intravenous or intravitreal dosage forms, please join our team.
You will significantly contribute to the development of new drugs for challenging New Chemical Entities (NCEs) and support the preparation of Start of Development (SoDs) for new molecules.

Tasks & responsibilities
- In your new role, you will contribute to the pharmaceutical development and characterization of parenteral dosage by e.g. optimize concepts for the screening of formulations for synthetic peptides and looking for new analytical methods to characterize peptide aggregation behavior.
- You will scientifically define, execute, and evaluate project-specific drug product development and present the results to liquid development experts and interfaces in research and development.
- Furthermore, you will provide technical leadership to co-workers as well as students and PhD candidates, where applicable.
- In addition, your role encompasses collaborations with various functions for the development of parenteral formulations, currently with a major focus on peptides for sub-cutaneous application.
- By supporting the scientific experts, you will ensure that drug product development is carried out in an efficient and integrated manner.
- In addition, you will work in multidisciplinary teams of scientific specialists from various functions.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree, preferably in pharmaceutical technology or a similar discipline
- Sound understanding of analytical techniques to characterize parenteral dosage forms and expertise in the areas of parenteral drug product development is beneficial
- Good knowledge in MS-Office as well as common laboratory software
- Strong communication and team player skills
- Independent working style is a prerequisite for the presentation of results in different interface teams
- Fluent in English and German is required due to frequent international communication
