Sr. Specialist, Payroll & Time Admin
The Position
This person is responsible for processing payroll in accordance with company policy and related activities. This includes monitoring and updating of master data in the payroll system related to time files, additional payments & deductions, processing garnishments, performing audits and analytics, issuing of final pay, responding to inquiries, and maintaining employee records. Also responsible in managing the timekeeping system, the time clocks and participates in implementation and upgrade efforts of the system and the clocks. Compiles the summary reports to provide relevant information to senior managers (e.g. corrected time entries, missing time sheets approvals, PTO liabilities, overtime utilization, etc.)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process semi-monthly and/or monthly payrolls according to country schedule and checklists and general ledger postings.
- Banking activities: including communication with bank regarding receipt of direct deposit file, positive pay upload for checks and daily banking activities for rejects, incorrect account numbers or stop payments.
- Calculate and process final pay and send funding request to GBS Treasury team
- Work directly with HR Direct and Employee Central related to payroll issues
- Manage the timekeeping system and time clocks. Pro-actively identify issues and concerns in the system with a focus on continuous improvement. Collaborate with HRIS and Facilities Management to ensure all time
- Run various time and attendance validation reports to identify employees with inconsistent or missing time records. Contact employees with missing records and resolve issues. Reach out to line managers to alert them of inconsistencies or errors.
- Managing the Services Payroll mailbox / MyServices. Includes responding to employee inquires and business/cross functional partner inquiries
- Year end uploads, testing and reconciliations processes, if applicable.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ extensive experience in Payroll and Time Administration for any Asia Pacific countries preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Exposed to different payroll systems. ADP Payroll experience is a plus
- Shared Services background is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills required
- Strong customer service skills and quality orientation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
