Automation Lead
An Automation Engineer bases the professional activity on the fusion of industrial and IT technologies to develop these processes.
Will hold a strategic, prestigious and autonomous position and also be involved in the process relating to new investments for the relevant issues.
Will operate, coordinating resources, within the engineering department reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Adopting specific instructions and procedures for the installation of electronic equipment and devices for command, control and regulation of automated processes
- Managing the team (2 automation technicians) of the programming and implementation of process control and safety logics and the integration of the various systems both on new plants and on plants undergoing revamping.
- System Leads of the automated plant systems including DCS/PLC/IFix
- Managing CapEx projects of process control technology for the automation of the plant systems collaborating with colleagues from the various functions, the engineering team and in collaboration with the international team.
- Creatring the IT Infrastructure for OT
- Supporting the analysis of system data to identify problems and eliminate process deviations by stabilizing and optimizing SW controls with a view to continuous improvement.
- Identifiyng and define standards for the correct application of IT-Security.
- Leading the strategy of international automation technology with coordination/implementation of all digitalization initiatives, including the implementation of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Subject Matter Expert for Automation at Global level
- Ensures the Data Integrity in field of DCS/PLC/IFix for all installed systems
- Responsible for Computer System Validation including OT Cyber Security
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Electronics or Automation/Control technology
- At least 3 years of professional experience with computer systems or programmable logic controllers in the environment of highly automated control technology (IFix, Siemens PCS7), preferably in chemical and pharmaceutical plants
- Extensive experience as a project manager or chief engineer, preferably with international experience,
- Knowledge of related specialist fields such as chemical process engineering and ventilation technology
- Excellent knowledge of modern project management and project reporting methods
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Communication skills, team spirit and a structured and goal-oriented way of working
